Description

Blake (1836-1925)  that they belonged to: a prominent attorney of Rindge

Just the right sort of attitude

Seems it might be a good one to hang in the office for when one needs a surrogate to exorcise frustrations

with age toning primarily just around the edges

or nothing at all

Lot of Old Quilter's Templates, One Signed, Dated 1889 tramp art heart box Blake (1836-1925) that they belongedFound in Maine, these are old hand cut cardboard stencils or templates, which would have been used for cutting pieces of fabric to be incorporated into quilts. The lovely blue leaf shape, signed on reverse (Catharine Hunsecker) and dated 1889, is clearly the oldest among them, more aged and worn than the others. I think the longest chain like one is particularly satisfying, too. Longest (with center fold): 14 5 8" l; blue leaf: 9 7 8" l. All pictured
