with what appears to be “MM”  “’78” and VT

It measures 5 5/8" tall with a diameter of 4 5/8" at opening and a width of 7 1/2" from spout to handle

while the design on the interior container is more pronounced

and there are a couple of small tears to the cotton ground of one of the sleeves

I believe it is made of animal hide (Kulit means skin, and refers to the leather construction of the puppets), which has been carefully hand cut and hand painted, including with gold for the torso and the arms. The back side is painted in the same manner as the front, and on both sides the puppet is attached to what I believe are bamboo sticks, painted black, one of which runs down the center
