This species is noted for its long curved spines. They aren't that long yet but as the plant matures the new spines will get consistently longer. Flowers are yellow and produced throughout the growing season. Mature plants can be 5" or more in diameter and may form clumps in time. Takes normal cactus care. Protect from frost.
