It's a bit hard to convey scale through photos but these are quite substantial in volume and weight and especially presence--more full blown sculptures than figurines
with very light wear and minor aging/ warping to the cardboard roof
and of a great scale at 6 inches tall and long
with this great yellow and pink polka dotted fabric
of what was most likely a woman venturing out on a stroll along the seashore again and again to collect and then carefully preserve them
Young Woman at Window, Fine c. 1840 Watercolor in Period Lemon Gold Frame original game of sentences It's a bit hard toI've got a penchant for antique portraits of young woman posed at thresholds of sorts here a lovely young woman in blue at a window, looking out as they seem very much about passage from youth to adulthood, innocence to knowing, etc., and often a certain longing in both directions at once. This watercolor, c. 1840s I believe, is finely done very much with the precision of a miniature, though it is not that small with the handling of the scarf draped
