Each square was painted, cut out, and adhered to the board, and there is a layer of acetate that was laid over it, folded around the sides, and adhered to the back side. I untaped one side to photograph it and it is easily removed entirely and tossed away, but has had the benefit of protecting it, and the colors remain very vibrant.
