Alpine Flowers in Vases, c. 1920s-40s Bavarian Oil on Canvas Still Life with Mountains 1881 which I would fill withI believe this oil on canvas painting is Bavarian with a view of the Alps in the background. I really like the combination of floral still life and mountainous landscape together in one painting, and with the couple of fallen floral sprigs nodding to the momento mori aspect of still life painting, too. Not a great masterpiece, but lovely, and a nice one to live with I think, and with a bit of a wistfulness to it that feels just right. 14" x 10 3 4",
