with some scattered smudges and toning

largely for the American market

with one visible scratch over the pansy at top center right and a few other scattered smaller stains and scratches and some rusting on the backside rim

which lends itself to the display of a couple of small sprigs or something significantly more dramatic

I love the look of the metal linings at either end against the wood, pine I believe, and the mix of small hand forged iron nails all over. Great now for stashing coins (should those still be part of one's life!) or stamps and mail or desk supplies or whatever. Looking at also makes me think of being a kid and wanting to play
