he's in generally good condition and structurally very sound with a bit of dryness/light cracking to the wood of his feet

enabling the carriage of much greater weight

These are in great condition

but with no tears otherwise and a gorgeous patina to the leather on both sides

Mexican Folk Art Wooden Alebrije in the Manner of Manuel Jimenez gravel on panel painting Saucer 4 7/8" d xThis is a handmade wooden Alebrije, or carved wooden animal, from Oaxaca, Mexico, very much in the manner of renowned Alebrije creator Manual Jimenez, if not made by him specifically, which it might be. But I am not quite sure what animal it is meant to represent exactly! The neck is not quite long to be a giraffe (though he did some terrific giraffes, which this closely resembles but for the shorter neck and tail), but too long to be a deer, I think.
