Lady Justice with Scales and Sword, Allegorical Watercolor Signed AHD, 1817 red devil coal bag I'm listing these as aSuch a beauty and feels very timely, sadly in a very bittersweet sort of way. This is a watercolor, French I would think, signed AHD along the very bottom edge and dated 1817. I would presume done after a late 18th century engraving, though I have not found a definitive source, and emblematic of the allegorical personification of virtues of the period, which also gave rise to many Lady Liberties.
