The reel is designed in the classic style of an Edward Vom Hofe Perfection reel. It's a single action reel and has an extremely effective back plate mounted adjustable drag, from the lightest to the heaviest settings. The heaviest setting you would only need for the largest trout you could locate on the planet, trust me! The reel has a 3" diameter and 15 16" wide spool. It also
