Albumen Stereoview carved wooden bead adhered on the backsid--one originalI've come to realize that my favorite stereoviews (and tintypes, too) tend to be very very spare ones, particularly of natural specimens, and the color of the mount plays a significant role too (matte yellow, orange and cream being the best!) I can flip through hundreds to find one I like, which finding one like this makes feel quite worthwhile to my eye just stunning formally (more rich and nuanced than photos convey) for sure, but also the spareness
