this 15yo Girvan whisky has been finished in a red wine cask which previously held Longrow whisky

Matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead for 12 years then bottled at a cask strength of 64

Then matured for 16 years in a refill Oloroso sherry butt before being bottled in November 2024 at a cask strength of 63

The nose features vanilla, butterscotch, orchard fruits, glazed cherries, buttered popcorn, and heather honey. On the palate, crushed vanilla, butterscotch, and cayenne pepper lead to grilled honeycomb, cinnamon buttercream, and caramel, highlighting the unique characteristics of the cask.
