This is the second solid brass duck of this ilk that I have found

(On the back side there are remnants of what appears to be an even earlier wallpaper

and with their original box

Friburgh who signed this watercolor, which surprises me some, as it is very finely done. Photos don't give a great sense of the richness of the sea itself, which was painted with hundreds of fine brushstrokes in a range of blues and greens, which make it feel as if we're out in very deep waters witnessing the scene. And then these wispy white clouds popping against the tan board, which it feels as if the sails
