Description

This is a sweet little Northeast Coast Native American handwoven sweetgrass and splint ash basket made to hold a small pair of sewing scissors

there appears to be a black mark on the bottom but I cannot make it out against the dark brown

Stable--paint is not chipping off unless one is actively trying

with some wear and aging to both the mirror and the wood as accurately documented in photos

as it feels so  intimate and immediate to hold in ones hands

Antique Two-toned Horsehair Brush with Turned Handle Wrico This is a sweet littleAnother pretty antique brush, this one unusual for its combination of longer black horsehair bristles surrounded by tapered shorter blonde ones. The nicely shaped, reddish stained turned wooden handle features a hole near the end for easy hanging. Late 19th century or so I believe. Good overall condition, with a little bristle loss, a fair amount of wear to the wood, and a little cracking (perhaps a repair, but I'm not sure) to the wood on the handle
