and faux wood grain etched into the sides and all of the interior

with part of old paper label on the bottom half and one small split near the edge of the lid on one side

with a little toning along the right edge and looks to have been carefully pulled from a sketchbook at left edge

Framed dimensions 20” x 16 3/4”

These are akin to the wooden nesting boxes painted in primary colors I am forever looking for

Love at first sight, found in PA, with a bit of a feline aspect but I do believe a dog. (Best of both worlds!) 6" l x 3 7 8" t x 2 1 8" w, very good condition. 1920s 40s or so I would guess.
