There is some hazing to the base of the vessel but otherwise both stopper and vessel remain in a very good condition

otherwise the stool remains in a very good condition with all legs firmly attached

Both the brooch and case remain in an excellent condition

The front free endpaper is torn within Volume 1 and there is a small tear to the front free endpaper of Volume 5

19th Century Inlaid Mahogany Drop Front Stationary Box, c.1880. The Library by James FA lovely late 19th century inlaid mahogany drop front stationary box, c. 1880. The exterior has wonderful parquetry detailing to the doors, with a parquetry border to each side of the box. The top lifts to open the drop front, revealing a green leather writing slope with a gilt border, two inlaid drawers, a pen try, two ink well holders, and five stationary holders (four smaller, one large). The pen tray lifts to reveal a small compartment beneath.
