from straight-on to the 90 degree profile to 3/4 view (and the ultra long arms of the last)

I just love how he appears to be tip toeing along the horizon line

and also the fact that the one he loves looks quite androgynous--in my mind perhaps adding another layer to the "I can not give thee up

" I might guess 1930s-40s or so

I purchased this wonderful old jointed wooden circus animal from a seller who had acquired a dozen or so pieces I believe by the same maker

Reddish Stained Old Treen Canister modern blueprint co brush from straight-on to the 90Another sort of thing I just can't pass by when I come across them; who can ever have too many treen boxes and bottles and canisters? This very phallic looking one bears a reddish stain, with an indent in the rounded top which seems as if made to meet a flat head screwdriver or coin in order to twist off the top, but I really have no idea! 3 7 8" t x 1 5 8" in diameter. Top slides over bottom and comes off easily. Early 20th century I would think.
