Regency Brass & Wire Work Fire Guard 1950's A decorative and useful itemA very high quality antique English country house fire guard. This excellent fire guard dates from the Regency period and stands on neat bun shaped brass feet. The brass top rail has decorative brackets to hold fire irons and attractive wire swags to the iron mesh. The cast iron base is beautifully modelled with a chamfered base and lipped sections at each end to secure fire irons. The condition is excellent. We have photographed this antique fire
