It's the SCREWS crudely carved into the top of this box
but really it's a pretty fabulous folk art piece and I'd definitely keep it for myself
the one at left a wooden post and silver painted metal sign with "Look Out RR Crossing For Cars" carved into it and no base (it will stand on its own on a flat surface)
which have quite a but of age to them
I may especially love this Inuit piece because the expressions and postures of the two figures remind me EXACTLY of photographs of my older brother and I playing in the snow when we are kids
Little Wooden Man with Six Fluttering Arms wheelbarrow It's the SCREWS crudely carvedBrilliant and seeming poised to become the star of his own cartoon (or, better, stop motion animation) detailing the adventures of the little six armed man! A different, funny graphite drawn face on either side, along with a line across the thigh, which makes me think perhaps he's meant to be a boxer in a unitard. The arms are tin, attached to the body with tiny flat head screws. They are not quite tight enough the weight of the tin arms perhaps a bit
