Sweet Old Much Loved Stuffed Mohair Lamb--or Puppy (?) horseback rider I find quill work pretty

I find quill work pretty incredible (for a long time I did not believe it was actual porcupine quills that were used) but usually the pieces that cross my path (and that I can afford) are in pretty rough shape

super sturdy used condition with a little chipping to the at one corner

but all are extraordinary miniature works of serious art despite being made for the most part by children

There is another horse drawing I purchased together with this one (listed separately) signed Samuel Joseph

but are in very good shape

Sweet Old Much Loved Stuffed Mohair Lamb--or Puppy (?) horseback rider I find quill work prettyI usually leave old stuffed animals to the experts as I know next to nothing about them, but this sweet guy just called to me and I felt I needed to shepherd him forward. The person I purchased this from described him as a little lamb, and indeed his stance is like that of a lamb just learning to stand on wobbly legs, but his face makes me think he could be a puppy. In any event, someone, or many someones, must have loved him a lot as he's lost a fair
