The first question that inevitably comes to mind when evaluating Kaust, Eyes of the Glade is: Why play this over Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer? Because Kaust and Kadena only share one color, they have very different tools, though they overlap in payoffs: card advantage and mana production
This one is focused on Death Toll
You sacrifice it immediately, but that single burst can put you multiple turns ahead of your opponent
The targetted card can only have a mana value of four or less to be directly playable with Beseech the Mirror, but this isnt a significant enough downside to curb the cards power
