I admit this deck doesnt do anything too special, but thats okay
This option is perfect if you want a deck that feels both collectible and competitive, thanks to its unique new cards you wont find in other starter decks
Theres probably a power level where a mediocre removal spell that occasionally blows up a utility land is appropriate, but I havent found it

Jace Beleren, on the other hand, asked you to tap out at a time when youd never want to in the first game, but once you sideboarded in the right answers to remove something your opponent snuck through when you tapped out for Jace, and things traded a lot, the raw power of the card advantage it provided was just what you were looking for, and it also didnt care about most of the kinds of cards people had that interacted with your primary maindeck strategy
This deck is looking to wear down opponents with removal and attrition before closing out the game with a legion of nightmarish attackers
