Literally the only reasons to maintain that Chandra is pale-skinned instead of Indian would be either a) they are so attached to branding and marketing to white people that they fear the backlash from the enfranchised bigots they cater today isnt worth opening their market to one of the worlds largest populated countries or b) theyve already set their hearts out on casting Felicia Day or Karen Gillan as Chandra in the Magic the Gathering Movie, Hipsters of the Coast wrote in 2015 when Wizards unveiled artwork for Kaladesh
Its nothing game-breaking, of course, but this card would have been plenty strong if it transformed into a regular ole Plains, so this makes it even better
Blue Playable Cards : Glasspool Mimic seems like an actively good card to me, for decks that are in the market for a Clone

The late game ability to suddenly transform into an 8/8 does give it an angle that Questing Beast never had, making this a very different card
