If you're a dedicated aggro deck that wants to play 16 lands and win the game as fast as possible, there's no room for a splashy seven-drop, no matter how good of an individual card it is
The goal is to sacrifice a persist creature infinitely to Altar of Dementia to mill our opponent's entire deck, causing our opponent to lose when they draw a card on their draw step
In general, I got the impression that the Hero deck, in a streamlined design, won about 40 percent of its games against the Rats
That said, unless you are planning on opening a lot of boxes (to help even out variance), I'd probably plan on getting the non- Masterpiece value and treat the possibility of opening a super-sweet, super-expensive Invocation as a bonus lottery ticket that you get for free when buying a box of Amonkhet
You could even opt for Pokemon stickers to seal packaging or use deck loaders from Elite Trainer Boxes or other Pokemon-branded sleeves
The Thirteenth Doctor The Thirteenth Doctor ranks #6 on EDHREC, but Ive got it at the bottom of my list because the mechanics are two of my least favorite in Magic
