While there are vast numbers of one mana removal cards in black they all have fairly significant limitations or drawbacks

Its an all-around fascinating support card that can quickly snowball into a massive game-ending threat

In regards to DnD I would have loved this aura to lose some toughness per damage taken to be more in line with the actual spell in the game (and to give it a chance in draft/sealed to be removed by swinging into it rather than having to wait for someone to remove the actual aura or creature)

Even considering the games 32-year lifespan, thats an impressive figure

They turn waiting for pie into giggles and quiet focus, which is hard to believe, but true

Its also important to consider that Stone of Erech and almost all the other artifacts on this list can be found with Urza's Saga
