According to my research, "cards and their designs released from Alpha (release date: August 5, 1993) to Scourge (release date: May 24, 2003)" are defined as "Old Frame." Similarly, "cards and their designs released from the 8th Edition Core Set (release date: July 28, 2003) to Conspiracy (release date: June 6, 2014)" are called "New Frame." Also, "cards and their designs released from Magic 2015 (release date: July 18, 2014) onwards" are called "New-New Frame." Note that you need to judge from the context whether the word refers to the card itself or the design
