As Goremand's triggered ability resolves, first the next opponent in turn order (or, if it's an opponent's turn, the opponent whose turn it is) chooses a creature they control, then each other opponent in turn order does the same knowing the choices made before them

You cant open these in regular boosters, making them exclusive and unique cards to add to your collection
why spend 3 or 4 mana to protect everything when you only care about, say, protecting your Voltron commander or whatever creature youre covering in equipment
Otherwise, its a tricky little exercise to choose a high enough number to get a new hand, but not so high as to be the sucker to take a hit on the chin for it
