I don't see the hand-stitching on the back and it just seems incomplete to me when I see dresses this way

The pastels are soft and beautiful, the coat styled with simple long lines and adorned with rhinestone buttons. We turned this dress into a coat by removing the zipper, closing up the back seam and then opening up the front so that the buttons actually work (the front was sewn shut originally, huh?) and it wears more like a coat
