Inspired by the contours in the landscape the three-dimensional surface of this brooch has been fired with a light dusting of vitreous enamel giving a gently textured surface

There is a double-pronged stainless steel brooch pin for a versatile and secure fastening

The initial inspiration for this piece started from a pencil rubbing taken from the woven textures of a cane laundry basket

so this may vary very slightly from pair to pair

The surround is made from oxidised silver sheet, and silver rivets hold everything in place. The brooch is light weight with a two pronged brooch pin made from stainless steel, which holds the brooch securely in place, anyway up.
