To qualify for the ACSM pre-2011 award

Awarded for 120 days service between 1st April 1955 and 18th April 1959

The General Service Medal 1962 - 2007 is commonly known as the Campaign Service Medal 1962 as was awarded with a minimum of one campaign clasp (in the instance 'Lebanon') and it is believed that a maximum of six clasp have been awarded on one medal

or 30 days of accumulated service on working visits within the operational area

The first awards of this MM were made during the Korean War although often awards announced in the name of The Queen resulted in a recipient recieving the medal with the head of King George VI

Miniature RAF Long Service & Good Conduct UN To qualify for the ACSMThe Royal Air Force Long Service Medal was originally awarded for 18 years exemplary service the qualifying period was reduced to 15 years in 1977. Officers are eligible provided at least 12 years of their service was in the ranks. Further awards are indicated by adding bars to the ribbon.
