At baseline, most patients (97%) were treated with one or more glucose-lowering medications, including metformin (76%), insulin (51%), SGLT-2i (27%), sulfonylurea (29%), and DPP-4i (23%) with CV disease and risk factors managed with lipid-lowering medications (89%), platelet-aggregation inhibitors including aspirin (77%), angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers (79%), and beta blockers (64%)
